§ 08 / Common questions
A few details,
before the detail.
Clear expectations make the appointment better. Start with the questions people ask most.
More answers ↗Can mobile detailing be done at my NYC address?
The borough is only the starting point. The appointment also needs a suitable work area, permission from the property or garage operator, and an agreed plan for vehicle access and washwater. Include your neighborhood and parking arrangement when discussing an appointment. A public curb space is not automatically an approved detailing location.
Do I need to provide water or electricity?
Confirm this before booking. The setup depends on the selected service, equipment and location. Share whether the workspace has accessible utilities and whether your building has restrictions. Do not assume that a particular package is self-contained or that any outlet is suitable.
What is the difference between a wash and a full detail?
A wash focuses on routine exterior soil. A full detail combines a more thorough exterior process with cabin cleaning, while specialist work such as machine polishing, extensive pet-hair removal or coatings should be specified separately. The written scope should say which surfaces and treatments are included.
How much will my detail cost?
Vehicle size, condition, requested work and workspace access all affect the estimate. Photos and a clear description help distinguish routine maintenance from extensive interior cleaning or paint work. Review the included tasks and any approved extras before accepting a quote.
Can I book an appointment through this website now?
You can send an inquiry through the website form. It does not reserve a time or confirm an appointment; our team will contact you to discuss availability and scope.
Do you cover smaller neighborhoods as well as borough centers?
Explore the borough hubs and neighborhood directory for local planning guidance, including smaller communities. Coverage is organized across all five boroughs; a specific address, date and worksite still need confirmation before an appointment can be accepted.
Can detailing repair scratches, torn seats or damaged trim?
Cleaning is not a repair service. Polishing may improve some surface defects, but damaged clear coat, deep scratches, tears, discoloration and worn finishes can require specialist repair. Discuss existing damage before choosing a scope.
Can a coating make my car maintenance-free?
No. Protective coatings still need appropriate washing and care. Discuss the product, preparation, environmental requirements and aftercare before choosing a coating service.
Should I remove a child seat before interior cleaning?
Discuss this before the visit. Child restraints should be handled and cleaned according to their manufacturer instructions. Do not assume removal, reinstallation, strap cleaning or a car-seat safety check is included in an interior detail.
What happens if the weather or garage access changes?
Confirm the worksite and any weather contingency before booking. Some services need shelter, a dry surface or controlled curing conditions. If the agreed space becomes unsuitable, the plan may need to change before work begins.
